Bread of Heaven is a family owned business operated by one man, Michael Colquitt, who has everyone calling him the “Main Ingredient”. He started the restaurant in November 2005 with the help of family members, but eventually began to run the place by himself. He is up early every morning before dawn to produce the freshest food for an all you can eat buffet bar. His love for cooking and grilling came to him as a young man cooking for family. He eventually began to sell plates in college and on the other side of the world in Korea as a Sergeant in the United States Military. He uses hickory wood to give the meat a delicious smoked flavor. He takes pride in keeping food consistent and tender with a good taste.
Bread of Heaven is a catering business but operates a lunch buffet with fresh barbecue and home cooking Monday through Friday. The buffet consist of pulled pork which is smoked for hours and hand pulled for the best quality of meat, smoked chicken, smoked sausage, baked chicken that falls off the bone, fried chicken wings, hamburger steak, chicken and dressing, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, potato sliced “homemade” fries, green beans, kernel corn, and sweet cornbread. Enough to get you full off of one plate, but fortunately you can go back for more.
